Producto de una transformaci\u00f3n sociocultural y de una decisi\u00f3n gubernamental declarada, China cambi\u00f3 su paradigma. Lo hizo a trav\u00e9s de una vertiginosa inversi\u00f3n en energ\u00edas renovables. Y encontr\u00f3 una curiosa forma de demostrarle al mundo su cambio de filosof\u00eda: un parque de energ\u00eda solar que adopta al mejor instrumento propagand\u00edstico del gigante asi\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-print-12\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">El\u00a0<strong>panda<\/strong>\u00a0es el animal de culto en China, y lo utiliza para que proliferen sus intereses econ\u00f3micos y geopol\u00edticos. Se aprovecha de la diplomacia y el marketing de un animal cargado de nobleza y ternura. Su granja solar imita las formas de un oso panda gigante, un dibujo que no hizo indiferente a nadie. Est\u00e1 ubicada al oeste de Beijing, en la ciudad de Datong. El\u00a0<strong>Panda Power Plant<\/strong>\u00a0es una creaci\u00f3n de China Merchants New Energy Group, uno de los mayores operadores de energ\u00eda limpia del pa\u00eds, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (UNDP).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-print-12\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">La planta fotovoltaica ocupa una extensi\u00f3n de 250 hect\u00e1reas y tiene una potencial inicial de 50 MW, una capacidad de producci\u00f3n bastante discreta. Obedece a un proyecto bautizado bajo el nombre \u00abBeld and Road\u00bb de la idea macro denominada\u00a0<strong>Panda Green Energy<\/strong>\u00a0presentada el a\u00f1o pasado para promocionar la energ\u00eda limpia y la educaci\u00f3n como v\u00edas de cambio en pol\u00edticas medioambientales. A\u00fan se prev\u00e9 una segunda fase que extender\u00e1 la potencia a 100 MW con volumen suficiente para proporcionar m\u00e1s de tres mil millones de kWh de electricidad limpia en los pr\u00f3ximos 25 a\u00f1os: el equivalente a ahorrar 1.056 millones de toneladas de carb\u00f3n o de reducir 2,74 millones de toneladas de emisiones de carbono.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-print-12\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">El programa tambi\u00e9n contempla un despliegue mayor de complejos fotovoltaicos en forma de animales, que contribuyan a suavizar la imagen de China como pa\u00eds de gran afluente de contaminaci\u00f3n y enarbolen la decisi\u00f3n pol\u00edtica del pa\u00eds para liderar la revoluci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica en el mundo, sobremanera luego de que Estados Unidos abandone el Acuerdo de Par\u00eds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-print-12\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">La imagen difundida es en verdad un montaje simb\u00f3lico de c\u00f3mo luce la \u00abplanta panda\u00bb. Entre el resultado final y el boceto de los dise\u00f1adores radica una diferencia sustancial en virtud de los colores: las placas fotovoltaicas deben ser oscuras para atrapar mejor los rayos solares, de modo que limitan su lucimiento art\u00edstico en im\u00e1genes panor\u00e1micas. De todas maneras, la inauguraci\u00f3n del parque sirvi\u00f3 para publicitar la nueva imagen de China en materia de energ\u00eda renovable: el gigante asi\u00e1tico domina el 25% de la producci\u00f3n mundial de electricidad v\u00eda plantas solares y dispone de los dos complejos m\u00e1s grandes del planeta.
