{"id":37621,"date":"2017-11-04T19:00:47","date_gmt":"2017-11-04T22:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/patagoniambiental.com.ar\/info\/?p=37621"},"modified":"2017-11-03T17:02:24","modified_gmt":"2017-11-03T20:02:24","slug":"antartida-agujero-de-la-capa-de-ozono-alcanza-su-menor-tamano-desde-2002","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/patagoniambiental.com.ar\/info\/antartida-agujero-de-la-capa-de-ozono-alcanza-su-menor-tamano-desde-2002\/","title":{"rendered":"Ant\u00e1rtida: Agujero de la capa de ozono alcanza su menor tama\u00f1o desde 2002"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"post-image\">\n<div class=\"fimg-wrapper fimg-cl\">\n<div class=\"featured-image\">\n<div class=\"fimg-inner\">\n<div class=\"vm-wrapper\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"backstretch\">Santiago de Chile.-El Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n Ant\u00e1rtica de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile concluy\u00f3 que la extensi\u00f3n promedio del agujero de ozono entre el 7 de septiembre y el 13 de octubre de este a\u00f1o fue de 17 millones de kil\u00f3metros cuadrados, el tama\u00f1o m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o de los \u00faltimos 16 a\u00f1os.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<section class=\"post-content\">\n<div><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.elrompehielos.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/agujerooo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"348\" height=\"260\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Desde 1980 hasta 2006 el agujero hab\u00eda experimentado una creciente extensi\u00f3n y profundidad, pero cambi\u00f3 en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, cuando los valores se estabilizaron entre los 25 y 20 millones de kil\u00f3metros cuadrados. El l\u00edder del equipo, Dr. Ra\u00fal Cordero, se\u00f1ala que la importancia del dato es que marca un cambio en la tendencia, inform\u00f3 el medio asociado BioBioChile.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>De acuerdo al especialista, s\u00f3lo en 2002 este agujero hab\u00eda alcanzado la menor cifra registrada de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, cuando lleg\u00f3 a los cerca de 12 millones de kil\u00f3metros cuadrados.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201c<em>Creemos que el agujero dej\u00f3 de crecer y est\u00e1, a lo menos, estable. Estamos observando las primeras se\u00f1ales de la recuperaci\u00f3n del agujero de ozono<\/em>\u201d, asegura el Dr. Cordero. De acuerdo al especialista, el cierre total est\u00e1 previsto para la segunda mitad de este siglo.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>El periodo en que el grupo realiz\u00f3 las investigaciones es el momento donde el fen\u00f3meno del agujero en la capa de ozono alcanza su mayor intensidad, explican los investigadores.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Sin embargo, advierte que el cierre total del agujero puede incrementar los niveles de ozono, lo que traer\u00eda consecuencias negativas para la Ant\u00e1rtica, ya que al ser un gas de efecto invernadero podr\u00eda \u201c<em>acelerar su derretimiento<\/em>\u201d.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Para realizar las mediciones, el Grupo utiliz\u00f3 las instalaciones de su plataforma de investigaci\u00f3n climatol\u00f3gica en la Ant\u00e1rtica TARP-02 (<em>Transport Antarctic Research Plataform<\/em>), implementada en 2015 con tecnolog\u00eda de punta para analizar el cambio clim\u00e1tico y su impacto en el Hemisferio Sur.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Para este fin, los investigadores tambi\u00e9n cuentan con una estaci\u00f3n de monitoreo de iguales caracter\u00edsticas en Santiago y otra junto al observatorio ALMA. De acuerdo al Dr. Cordero, prontamente implementar\u00e1n la TARP-05 en la zona central de la cordillera de los Andes.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201c<em>Todas las estaciones est\u00e1n a distintas latitudes, a lo largo de una transecta longitudinal. Hoy, la universidad tiene estaciones a lo largo de una transecta de 5.500 kil\u00f3metros<\/em>\u201d, destaca.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Finalmente, el experto destaca que el Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n Ant\u00e1rtica es parte de la 54\u00b0 versi\u00f3n de la Expedici\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica Ant\u00e1rtica, que organiza el Instituto Ant\u00e1rtico Chileno (Inach), con apoyo de la Fuerza A\u00e9rea y buques de la Armada, y que comenz\u00f3 este mes para extenderse hasta abril del pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201c<em>La Universidad de Santiago es el plantel con mayor cantidad de proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n ejecut\u00e1ndose hoy en la Ant\u00e1rtica<\/em>\u201d, resalta el investigador Ra\u00fal
