seguir\u00e1 siendo una utop\u00eda<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>De acuerdo el IPICYT, del Sistema de Centro P\u00fablicos de Investigaci\u00f3n del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda, el carb\u00f3n activado, cuya producci\u00f3n mundial es de al menos 1.4 millones de toneladas al a\u00f1o, se utiliza en la potabilizaci\u00f3n del agua, tratamiento de aguas residuales y emisiones gaseosas, cat\u00e1lisis, recuperaci\u00f3n de metales preciosos, remoci\u00f3n de toxinas y mejorador de suelos como dep\u00f3sito de carbono, entre otros.Los desechos org\u00e1nicos e inorg\u00e1nicos que produce la industria en general deber\u00edan ser tratados y\/o confinados adecuadamente, sin embargo, esto no siempre se lleva a cabo, lo que incrementa el deterioro ambiental.<\/p>\n<p><strong>V\u00eddeo:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mundo.sputniknews.com\/ecologia\/201807231080610797-video-viral-mundo-cubierto-de-montanas-de-basura\/\">Eres t\u00fa quien acabar\u00e1 con el planeta si no cambias los h\u00e1bitos<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para este trabajo, cuyo responsable es el investigador Ren\u00e9 Rangel M\u00e9ndez, se us\u00f3 bagazo de agave Salmiana, el cual es un residuo lignocelul\u00f3sico que se genera en la industria mezcalera, para producir carb\u00f3n activado.<\/p>\n<div class=\"b-inject m-inject-min\">\n<div class=\"b-inject__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" title=\"Contaminaci\u00f3n del aire (imagen referencial)\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnmundo1.img.sputniknews.com\/images\/107507\/08\/1075070890.jpg\" alt=\"Contaminaci\u00f3n del aire (imagen referencial)\" width=\"705\" height=\"375\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"b-inject__copy\"><a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/publicdomain\/zero\/1.0\/\">CC0<\/a>\u00a0\/\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pixabay.com\/ru\/%D0%B7%D0%B0%D0%B3%D1%80%D1%8F%D0%B7%D0%BD%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%8F-%D0%B4%D1%8B%D0%BC-%D1%81%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B4%D1%8B-%D1%81%D0%BC%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%B0-2043666\/\">PIXABAY<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"b-inject__content\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mundo.sputniknews.com\/ecologia\/201801291075818634-salud-cromosomas-ecologia\/\">C\u00f3mo la contaminaci\u00f3n del aire puede afectar tus genes<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Actualmente la mayor parte de este residuo se incinera, contribuyendo a la emisi\u00f3n de gas invernadero y a la producci\u00f3n de cenizas, las cuales son contaminantes ricos en metales.El carb\u00f3n activado remueve algunos contaminantes org\u00e1nicos e inorg\u00e1nicos presentes en agua. Adem\u00e1s, debido a que se generan m\u00e1s de 17 mil toneladas de bagazo de agave (base seca) al a\u00f1o en todo el pa\u00eds, y dado que el contenido de carbono de este producto es de 45% en peso, se estima que la combusti\u00f3n de estos residuos generar\u00edan m\u00e1s de 28 mil toneladas de di\u00f3xido de carbono al a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Por ello, la estabilizaci\u00f3n de estos residuos en forma de carb\u00f3n activado representar\u00eda una reserva de carbono estable a largo plazo, que puede ser comercializada en bonos de carbono, y que mitigar\u00eda la contaminaci\u00f3n
