Esto se debe a que los\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/que-es-y-como-funciona-la-energia-solar-fotovoltaica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sistemas fotovoltaicos<\/a>\u00a0montados en soportes necesitan mucho espacio de suelo. Un proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n del \u201cInstituto Austriaco de Tecnolog\u00eda\u201d va a probar una ingeniosa soluci\u00f3n a este problema:\u00a0<strong>Un techo solar que se extiende por las autopistas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Los conductores circular\u00edan bajo un enorme garaje solar, cuyas\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/celulas-solares-fotovoltaicas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">c\u00e9lulas solares<\/a>\u00a0deber\u00edan dejar pasar la luz.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>Las autopistas son un buen lugar para generar energ\u00eda solar porque se usa una superficie acotada.<\/p>\n<p><cite>Martin Heinrich, Instituto Fraunhofer de Sistemas de Energ\u00eda Solar (ISE).<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Stephan Freudenstein, Director de la Oficina de Pruebas para la Construcci\u00f3n de Rutas de Tr\u00e1fico de la Universidad T\u00e9cnica de M\u00fanich, tambi\u00e9n ve potencial en este concepto: \u201c<em>Las \u00e1reas de tr\u00e1fico representan el 5% de la superficie total de Alemania, y utilizarlas para generar electricidad tiene mucho potencial<\/em>\u201c, dice Freudenstein.<\/p>\n<p><em>No queremos construir un enorme t\u00fanel, sino usar m\u00f3dulos que dejen pasar la luz. Aunque los m\u00f3dulos semitransparentes son algo menos eficientes, la diferencia con las c\u00e9lulas convencionales es s\u00f3lo del 1%<\/em>, seg\u00fan Heinrich.<\/p>\n<p>El primer paso del proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n es desarrollar un prototipo con m\u00f3dulos adecuados, que luego se probar\u00e1n durante un a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 efectos tendr\u00eda una aplicaci\u00f3n a gran escala?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el Ministerio Federal de Transportes, Alemania tiene 12.993 kil\u00f3metros de autopista, de los cuales 3.383 kil\u00f3metros son de seis o m\u00e1s carriles y 9.610 kil\u00f3metros son de cuatro carriles. Con un ancho de 15,75 o 12 metros por direcci\u00f3n de conducci\u00f3n, esto da como resultado una superficie utilizable de\u00a0<strong>337 kil\u00f3metros cuadrados<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1nta energ\u00eda podr\u00eda generar?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la informaci\u00f3n del proveedor de electricidad E.on, 54 metros cuadrados de planta fotovoltaica generan alrededor de 9500 kilovatios hora de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica al a\u00f1o, pero en el caso de las autopistas hay que tener en cuenta otro factor: Las c\u00e9lulas del techo no siempre pueden estar alineadas idealmente con el sol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>El rendimiento depende en gran medida de la ubicaci\u00f3n<\/em>\u201c, admite el investigador del ISE Heinrich. Por ejemplo, las autopistas en direcci\u00f3n este-oeste, que est\u00e1n bordeadas de monta\u00f1as o altos \u00e1rboles en el sur, s\u00f3lo reciben suficiente sol por la ma\u00f1ana o por la tarde. \u201c<em>No todos los lugares son ideales, pero incluso en muchas secciones comparativamente pobres, se genera suficiente energ\u00eda para que la planta valga la pena en alg\u00fan momento<\/em>\u201c, dice Heinrich.<\/p>\n<p>Pero incluso si se considera que el rendimiento total es un 30% menor en comparaci\u00f3n con las condiciones ideales,\u00a0<strong>el resultado es impresionante<\/strong>:\u00a0<strong>41,5 teravatios hora<\/strong>\u00a0de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/energias-renovables\/energia-solar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">energ\u00eda solar<\/a>\u00a0podr\u00edan generarse por a\u00f1o en los 337 kil\u00f3metros cuadrados.<\/p>\n<p>A modo de comparaci\u00f3n: Seg\u00fan la Agencia Federal del Medio Ambiente, los hogares de Alemania consumieron 129 teravatios hora de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica en 2018 \u2013 un techo solar de una autopista de gran superficie\u00a0<strong>podr\u00eda por lo tanto cubrir casi un tercio de esta demanda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, es probable que un parque solar de este tipo en una autopista sea caro. Seg\u00fan Heinrich, un metro cuadrado de superficie fotovoltaica cuesta al final unos 125 euros para las grandes centrales el\u00e9ctricas, pero esta cifra ser\u00eda considerablemente m\u00e1s alta para una autopista cubierta. Debido a que la subestructura necesaria es un factor de coste importante, advierte el ingeniero civil Freudenstein: \u201c<em>Aqu\u00ed se necesitan muchas estructuras para soportar el viento, adem\u00e1s se deben proteger contra la corrosi\u00f3n.<\/em>\u201d Seg\u00fan Freudenstein,\u00a0<strong>esto se traduce en costos considerables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Las c\u00e9lulas solares en las superficies de las carreteras no son todav\u00eda una alternativa<\/p>\n<p>Si, en lugar de los 125 euros por metro cuadrado, los costes del sistema solar fueran de 300 euros por metro cuadrado, un sistema nacional de este tipo tendr\u00eda un coste de 100.000 millones de euros.
